6 years later…

It’s hard to believe that it has been 6 years since these events turned the world upside down.  Are we to blame because people in the Middle East don’t get along?  Blowing things up and using violence isn’t going to solve anything; in fact, it just makes everything worse.  Solders are sent over, but many do not come back.  Will they be forgotten or will be recognized for their life-threatening work?  I have friends being sent out and they may not come back.  I do not want to go to a friend’s funeral.  We interfere with everything because the higher-up people think it is in that country’s best interest, but nothing ever works out.  We cannot ask people to get along for no reason at all; there has to be a reason so there can be a compromise of some kind.  Will this war ever end?  Will our soldiers ever come home?  What will happen with the next presidential elections?  I’m so overwhelmed with things to do that anything regarding the war or the elections is at the bottom of my priority list.  My graduate school applications are far more important than who I’m going to vote for president next year.

Until next time…
