School selection…

I don’t really understand why people keep applying to San Francisco State. It’s a good school, but all the people I know who are going there are there for all the wrong reasons. It shouldn’t be because it is an easy school to get into, but because what someone wants to do is supported by a worthwhile program. It’s an easy commute, but the mall is across the street. When students don’t feel like going to class, they’ll be at the mall. Based on what someone wants to do, the connections are not as good. Being in San Jose is better for those interested in business, animation, computers, and engineering. It hurts to see people throw away all those possible connections.

The only reason why I even consider SF State as a graduate school is because they have a really good credential program. I know teachers who have been through the program, and it is one of the best programs the school has to offer.

For everyone else, I don’t know what they’re doing, But if they can figure out how they’re going to make it in the city, then so be it. Just don’t choose a school because it will bring you closer to your significant other. That’s just lame.
