San Jose State University Homecoming Week, October 9 – October 15

Here are the events for San Jose State’s Homecoming Week, which occurs from October 9 to October 15:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 9

Celebration of the Americas
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Student Union, Almaden Room
A celebration of Latin American cultures with information and film clips about Latin America, Latin-American music and dance, and examples of pre-Columbian literature. Information about learning Spanish and Portuguese is provided. Sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages.

Kosher BBQ (with Israeli dancing and Krav Magah)
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
BBQ pits in front of the Event Center
The JSU will host a Kosher BBQ and will have an interactive demonstration of Israeli dancing and Krav Magah (martial art).

SJSU Student admission is free, but tickets are required (includes student guests). Student (and their guests) tickets must be purchased at the Event Center Box Office, and an SJSU student ID is required. There is a limit of 2 guests per SJSU student ID. At the door, guest tickets must be presented at the same time as the student ticket. Tickets will be on sale as early as Monday, September 11.

SJSU Employee admission is free, but tickets are required (includes employee guests). Employee (and their guests) tickets must be reserved with the RSVP to the President’s Picnic, and tickets will be distributed at the President’s Picnic. At the door, guest tickets must be presented at the same time as the employee ticket. Tickets will be on sale when the invitations are distributed by the President’s Office.|

General Public admission is $25. Tickets will not be available until October 6, and only on a space available basis (pending ticket sales for SJSU students and employees). Tickets for the general public can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
